This interesting and complete atlas consists of a series of maps and plans that cover major military engagements during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. The maps cover Europe and her colonies in America, Africa and India. Complete with 108 maps and plans, a frontispiece on military symbols and fortifications, and a glossary of military and marine terms. Maps engraved by W. & A.K. Johnston under the direction of Sir Archibald Alison and published by William Blackwood and Sons. Hardbound in original half calf over marbled-paper boards.

Maps are generally very good with some light toning and occasional scattered foxing. Back cover is detached. Front cover is worn and edges are bumped.
