This map extends from Norfolk, Virginia to Savannah, Georgia and depicts the southern theater of the Revolutionary War. Towards the end of the war, the British shifted their attention towards the southern colonies, and succeeded in seizing control of several important port cities, including Savannah and Charleston. The map depicts towns, roads, rivers, mountains and important battle sites, including the Battle of Cowpens, shown at left. This map appeared in the French edition of Marshall's Life of Washington.
