This lot is composed of 5 engraved portraits of native men, warriors and a woman from Costumes Civils…Moeurs et Coutumes des Habitans des Isles Sandwich, edited by Sylvain Marechal and illustrated by Grasset de Saint-Sauveurand. Included with the plates below are 20 pages of disbound French text describing the native habits and customs:
