This fascinating large-scale map on 2 sheets shows the postal routes of Texas at the middle of the 20th century. It shows the frequency of delivery (from once to six times a week), special supply routes, mail message routes and air mail routes. The western sheet has an inset of the panhandle with an index of counties at bottom. Published by order of the Postmaster General Arthur Summerfield. When put together, the map measures an impressive 66 x 100".
