This pretty, reduced version of Mercator's map of the region includes the coastline and the cities of Nantes and Rochelle, with the Loire River valley prominently noted. A delicately engraved strapwork cartouche is tucked in the upper right corner. This is from the first edition, with Latin text on verso.

Marginal soiling with manuscript page number and cardinal directions in blank margins. There are light pencil marks in the ocean.
