This miniature map of Brazil depicts major towns and key topographical features, with details mostly confined to the coastline. Two large spurious lakes are shown in the interior: L. Parime and Lac Eupana ou de Xarayes. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.
