A fascinating plan depicting the battle of Nieuwpoort on July 2, 1600 between the Dutch and the Spanish. Two stages of the battle are depicted one atop the other, with the Dutch army under Maurice of Nassau and Francis Vere at left and the Spanish army under Albrecht of Austria at right. This plan was published in Blaeu's 'Town book' of the Low Countries. Latin text on verso.
