This folio sheet has four finely engraved maps originally published in 1646 by Jan Jansson, and here reissued by Valck and Schenk. The islands of Holy Island and Farne (Lindisfarne), off the Northumberland coast are shown at left, and at right are Guernsey and Jersey. Each map is embellished with a compass rose, ships, and strapwork title and scale cartouches featuring putti and other figures.
