This map shows a simple double-hemisphere map depicting the two hemispheres from a polar projection. Major rivers, mountain ranges, islands, and regions are labeled. In North America, the cities of Washington, Boston, and Quebec are located. This map is contemporary with some of the first sightings of Antarctica, and the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula is depicted under Cape Horn.
