A pair of beautifully engraved maps of North and South Wales. The northern map extends from Chester on the Dee River to Aberystwyth in the south, while the southern map begins near Aberystwyth and extends to include the entirety of the southern coast. The maps depicts the mountainous topography, and each county is named and outlined. Both maps includes a bold title cartouche and two distance scales.
A. North Wales. Condition: Light toning along centerfold with a few short tears along the edges in blank margins. A centerfold separation that enters 0.5" into image at bottom has been repaired with archival tape. Trimmed close to neatlines at right and left sides, but still room for framing.
B. South Wales. Condition: A few, unobtrusive spots in map image, with one tear in blank margin that has been repaired with archival tape. Margins have been trimmed close to neatline at left and to neatline at right, with some loss of neatline.
