This detailed map follows the course of the Danube and its tributaries across the northwestern Balkans with the political divisions of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Dalmatia. The map features a large portrait of Rudolf II, the Holy Roman Emperor from 1576-1612. Engraved by Quad, with his initial "Q" at bottom right, as well as the imprint of Johan Bussemacher, who published several of Quad's works. German text on verso.
