A. Cornell's Grammar School Geography: Forming a Part of a Systematic Series of School Geographies, published 1878. Includes over 30 maps including 2 double-page maps of the hemispheric world and the United States. There is nice detail of the states and territories, including a large Dakota territory. 124 pp., hardbound with pictorial paper over boards. Condition: Maps are in very good condition with very light, even age toning. Spine and covers are worn with some pencil notations in the front endpapers.
B. Cornell's Intermediate Geography: Forming Part Second of a Systematic Series of School Geographies, published 1867. Includes over 20 maps including 2 double-page maps. This complete book is 94 pp. and covers both historical and physical geography, along with various pupil lessons. There is nice detail of the states and territories, including a large Dakota territory. Arizona occupies the southern portion of Nevada, including Las Vegas. Hardbound with pictorial paper over boards. Condition: Maps are in very good condition with occasional light staining and foxing. The upper portion of the last page of statistical tables is missing. Spine is slightly cracked and starting with a library seal on the front pastedown.
