A scarce and interesting map of the Americas depicting the European spheres of influence off the coastline. Briet favors the French by claiming the entire eastern coastline from Chesapeake Bay northward for France, despite the presence of the British in New England. California is shown as an Island, and the northwest coastline of the mainland is incomplete. The interiors are left blank, with place names confined to the coasts. The title is enclosed in a decorative cartouche. Latin text on verso.
