This decorative title page for Philippe de Pretot's Atlas Universel shows a large architectural structure containing the title. There are two female figures and four putti using cartographic instruments such as charts, books, a telescope, compasses, and an armillary sphere. Above the scene are two of the twelve signs of the zodiac.

Light soiling with minor manuscript notations in title cartouche and top blank margin. The left blank margin has been extended with old paper, and there is a previous owner's stamp in top left corner.
