This rare double-hemispheric world map shows California as an island, and a large southern continent labeled Terre Avstrale Pev Cognve. Australia, connected to the large landmass, is labeled Pays de Nuitz. Published in Philippe Briet's Parallela Geographiae Veteris et Novae... with Latin text above the map image.
