A very nicely rendered lithographic bird's-eye view of Cape Cod that extends from Cutty Hunk and Naushon Island to Boston and Marblehead in the far distance. Locates Provincetown, Barnstable, Sandwich, Hyannis, Buzzard's Bay, Plymouth, New Bedford, and Bridgewater. Identifies numerous lighthouses including the Monomy, Chatham, Nauset, Highland, Race Point, Nantucket, Cape Poge, East Chop, Dumpling Rock, Boston, and numerous others. The canal, planned from the 1820's, was finally completed in 1914. Engraved by Albert E. Downs, Boston.
