Oriented with north to the bottom, this map shows Joris van Spilbergen's fleet navigating Magellan's Strait in 1615. The mountainous terrain of the adjacent shorelines of Tierra del Fuego and Chile are well depicted along with sparse vegetation and a few huts. Based on a map of the same name published in de Bry's Grandes Voyages. Published in Constantin de Reneville's Recueil des voyages qui ont servi a l'établissement de la Compagnie des Indes Orientales aux Provinces Unies.
