This rare Argentinean WWI poster by Andres Perez shows the nations of Europe and the United States redrawing the map of Europe after the war. The winners of the conflict are lined up, ready to impart their wishes with a paint brush in hand. Each of the nations is represented by a woman with a boy-like soldier in hand, dressed in costumes depicting their national origin. The United States female representation is particularly interesting. She is dressed in a stars and stripes dress with an Aztec like headdress. A pistol is strapped to her waist with a doughboy standing next to her. First in line at the map of Europe is Italy, extending its interests across the Adriatic Sea into the Balkans. Below the engraving is text describing the redrawing of political boundaries, "Las naciones aliadas demarcando las nuevas fronteras."

Brilliant, crisp color with a tiny edge tear at left that extends 0.5" into the map image that is closed on verso with archival tape. There are long creases where the map was previously folded and now flattened that are only perceptible when held to light.
