This finely engraved map on Mercator's Projection is centered on the Pacific Ocean. The map depicts the physical characteristics of the earth and is devoid of political detail. Australia is Nouvelle Hollande and is completely blank in the interior with just a few place names on the coast. Tasmania is separate.
