This is a handsome, decorative map of Crete and the Aegean Islands as far as Ydra and Patmos. It includes the Cyclades and the beautiful island of Santorini. The map is adorned with an elaborate allegorical cartouche featuring Neptune, Mercury, and mer-people carrying a coat of arms.

Attractive color with some stains and a couple of short tears in image that have been professionally repaired. There are archival repairs to several small cracks caused by the oxidation of the original green pigment.
