This handsome map shows the Persian Empire during the time of the Safavid dynasty. It is fully engraved with mountains, rivers and hundreds of tiny villages. The map is richly embellished with a title cartouche surmounted by three Persian gentlemen, a ship sailing in the Indian Ocean, and a coat of arms in the dedication cartouche. Latin text on verso.

Nice impression and color with wide original margins, a few minor spots, and three tiny wormholes only visible when held to light.
