The extensive road system throughout England and Wales is the subject of this attractive map. Hundreds of towns fill the map, with counties delineated and listed in a table at top left. The decorative title cartouche is engraved onto the face of a stone structure with sheep, bales and casks in front and a lovely coastal scene in the background. Published in William Guthrie's New Geographical Grammar.
