This early geological map of the State of Connecticut by J.G. Percival is still bound into an extensive 495 pp. report. The map displays geological formations by dotted lines and also shows watershed, cities and town boundaries. The report, which was a result of a $100,000 appropriation by the state's legislature, provides a very detailed account of the geologic structure of the state. Hardbound, 8vo with embossed cloth covered boards and gilt title on spine.
