These two small maps were included in Patrick Gordon's Geography Anatomized:
A. North America According to the Latest Observations (7.0 x 6.0"). This small map shows the b>Island of California with an indented northern coastline. The northwestern part of the continent is completely blank. New England, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Carolina are named along the east coast while Florida occupies a large portion of the south.
B. South America According to the Latest Observations (7.8 x 6.3"). Shows place names along the coastline with basic detail of the river system and topography. The center of the continent is labeled "Country of the Amazons" with a note stating "These Indian Parts are but little if at all discovered."
