This is a very colorful bird's-eye view of Southern California, and covers the counties of San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial. It shows missions, places of interest, and historically important routes including the Butterfield Trail and the Anza Trail. The verso is filled with illustrations highlighting the recreational activities in the area including Knott's Ghost Town, Lake Arrowhead and Newport Harbor. Also on the verso is road map of the region. The map was drawn by Claude G. Putnam and folds into a 4 x 9" brochure.
The Roads to Romance series ran during the 1940's and 1950's to promote tourism in Southern California.
