This highly detailed wall map covers the area from Port Chester to Stamford in the south, extending north well beyond Greenwich. Roads, railroads, piers, rivers, and creeks are well depicted throughout. However, the fascinating aspect of this map is the division of land into individual property owners and estates, each labeled in full with the owner's name and the acreage. The buildings on each property are marked, including dwellings, stores, barns, stables, churches, schools, factories, and public buildings. Gas, water, and sewer lines are also indicated. The surrounding harbors are also well delineated, with soundings, reefs, rocks, and islands. Printed on 3 out of 4 sheets - the northeast sheet is missing. By Miller Robbins Jr. & Co. Size is for each sheet.
