This unique map depicts the world in two hemispheres in typical western and eastern form, along with six smaller hemispheres showing the world from various angles. Beside the two large hemispheres are panels of text explaining how to project the world in plane form. A large southern continent is still prominently shown, and the coastlines of Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand and the Salomon Islands are still incomplete. In North America, California is depicted as an island with the D. d'Anian separating California from a large Terre de Iesso. An interesting sheet that is not often found in this complete format, as the engravings are printed from three separate plates.
