This large-scale chart of the Caribbean Sea depicts the coastlines from northwestern South America to Belize, and the Caribbean Islands from Jamaica to Grenada. There is great detail of towns, bays, rivers, topography, anchorages, rocks, and other navigational hazards. Two large insets depict Cumana, Venezuela on the Gulf of Caraico and the bay at Trujillo, Honduras. The engraved seal of the Depot de la Marine is at bottom center, with the price Prix Trois Francs below the neatline at right. Drawn by Besancon and engraved by E. Collin.

Condition: B+
There is light offsetting and soiling, faint toning along centerfold, and a 1" tear across centerfold in an unengraved area of map that has been closed on verso with archival tape. Overall very good condition for a map of this size.
