A very early bird's-eye view of the city of Cusco based on Braun & Hogenberg's depiction of the city. Cusco was the capital of the Incan civilization until the Spanish conquest in 1533, led by Francisco Pizarro. Several figures are depicted both inside the city walls and on the hillside and roads leading into the city. The title is presented in a ribbon banner.
