Three charts on one sheet depicting Iceland, Spitsbergen and Jan Mayen, with ornamental borders between the charts. The charts depict numerous coastal place names, soundings, and navigational hazards. Each chart is adorned with its own compass rose, orienting the maps of Spitsbergen and Jan Mayen to the north and the map of Iceland to the east. The volcano Hekla is shown smoking in the center of Iceland, and a vignette of the Beerenberg volcano graces the interior of Jan Mayen. The map is further decorated with sea monsters, ships, and a fisherman spearing a walrus.
