This unusual map of the British Isles includes two large insets of the hemispheres showing the full extent of the British Empire’s dominance throughout the world. The island of California, a partial coastline of New Zealand and a remnant of the coastline of the mythical southern continent are shown in the Western Hemisphere. While on the map of the Eastern Hemisphere only part of Australia remains to be completely mapped. The large map of Britain is nicely detailed and the sheet includes numerous tables of relative information. At top left and right are the royal coats of arms of Britain, England, Scotland and Ireland.
