A densely engraved map of the southwestern tip of Germany, bounded by the Rhein river in the west and south. The mountainous topography of the region is graphically shown, along with the river systems in the region. A legend at bottom identifies cities of various sizes, churches, castles, castle ruins, and glassworks. Large cities, including Basel, Freiburg, and Schaffhausen are depicted with miniature bird's-eye plans.
