A fine large map showing all of Italy, including Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica, the surrounding parts of France and the Balkans, and a portion of North Africa. It is based on the geography of Guillaume Delisle and the observations of the astronomer Riccioli. The map is filled with detail and decorated with an ornate title cartouche alluding to the Catholic Church, with a cherub wearing a cardinal's miter.

A nice impression with a few tiny worm holes, a bit of soiling, and light damp stains that enter map at bottom.
