This group of prints depict various native scenes in Saint-Domingue; a French colony on the island of Hispaniola from 1659 to 1809 (later becoming Haiti). The engravings show men and women in both native dress as well European costume, and are some of the earliest prints from this island. Drawn by Jacques Grasset de Saint-Sauveur and engraved by Labrousse. Size varies slightly.
