These early tinted lithographs are from the important railroad surveys. The first features three Mojaves posing with traditional full body tattoos in the desert. The second depicts two Navajos with spears, reflective and in repose on horseback, backed by a desert landscape. Thomas Sinclair is the lithographer for both.
