This detailed bird’s-eye view of New York City was a promotional vehicle for the clothing company of Rogers, Peet & Co. The map depicts the Brooklyn Bridge (4 years prior to its opening), the company’s building on Broadway, hundreds of boats and ships in the Hudson and East Rivers, and a key to 16 different points of interest. The verso contains a "Strangers’ Guide to New York." Drawn by J.W. Williams and copyrighted by Root & Tinker. Folded brochure measures 3.0 x 5.5".
