This copper engraved map documents the last major battle of the Revolutionary War, showing the positions of Baron de Vomisnil, Gen. Washington, Count Rochambeau, and others in Yorktown. Locates artillery, roads, rivers and creeks, French and American hospitals, and numerous troop positions. A notation documents the end of the war: "Field, where the British laid down their Arms." A great historical map that was engraved by Cooper.
