This striking pair of maps focuses on France during the era of the First French Empire. The nation is divided into various departments, and rivers, mountains, towns, and cities are shown. Paris and Holstein are featured in insets on the sheet centered on northern France. Both maps are engraved by Jean Baptiste Marie Chamouin and drawn by Giraldon.
