This intricate map of Italy shows political divisions, roads, cities, towns, and topography. The map covers the area from eastern France and southern Switzerland, across the Adriatic Sea (here called Golfe de Venise) to present-day Croatia, and south to the tip of Africa. Corsica, Sardinia, and Sicily are shown, and Mt. Etna is identified. There are four distance scales flanking the title above the map. Engraved by Andre.
