Charming miniature map showing the northern coastlines of New Guinea and the Solomon Islands with numerous place names and the southern coastlines purely conjectural. Title in decorative cartouche. The majority of the maps for Bertius' geographical treatise were engraved by Jodocus Hondius Jr. after Mercator. French text on verso.
