This attractive copper engraving depicts the northeastern part of France from Paris east to Nancy, and from Reims south to Auxerre. The map is filled with tiny villages, churches, and forests throughout. It is adorned by a decorative title cartouche at top left featuring a dear, farm animals, a woman clutching wheat, and Bacchus. Two putti, one wielding a compass, embellish the distance scale at bottom right.
