This attractive map covers northern Africa from Tripoli to the Red Sea. The topography is mostly spurious with numerous mountain ranges and oases prominently located. The map is embellished with a bold title cartouche festooned with fruit symbolizing the fertility of the Nile valley. Engraved by Jean Lhuillier, whose initials appear beneath the title cartouche.
