This spectacularly illustrated French map of the United States was published by the U.S. Office of War Information during
World War II
. All of the 48 states are shown with major cities identified. Hundreds of small illustrations serve to highlight the products, culture, and notable sites in each state. In addition to a title cartouche, there are three inset maps showing the railroads, airways, and interstates, and an inset focused on facts about America.
