Map covers the western United States south to Costa Rica. Mexico is divided into provinces with a mountain range running like a spine through much of the country. Texas is named "Texas or New Estremadura" and the Great Basin has the notation "Plains of Senora de la Luz." The river system is well developed and numerous places are identified, particularly along the coast. Decorated by a simple title cartouche and distance scale.
