This handsome map of South America features towns and cities, rivers, lakes, political divisions, names of native tribes, and more. Modern day Colombia is called Nouvelle Grenade, and Argentina is not named and appears as La Plata and Patagonie. Small insets in the bottom corners show the Galapagos Islands and an incomplete section of Antarctica. Printed by Louis Antoine and engraved by Smith, Gerin, Rousset, and Fontaine.
