This pair of copper engraved maps covers the coastline of Brazil and shows the Capitaineries or hereditary harbor offices. The first map covers from Salvador to Santos, and the second continues to Maldonado in Uruguay. There is good interior detail of rivers and mountains. Size varies slightly.

Minor toning and soiling. The top margins have been extended with old paper to accommodate framing.
