This is the second printed map of Wales, after Ortelius' map, which was created by Humphrey Lhuyd. At top right are the names of the regions in Latin, English and Welsh. The map is elegantly embellished with two strapwork cartouches, sea monsters, sailing ships, and a quadrant of a large compass rose. Latin text on verso.

A nice impression with attractive color, light toning, and a few small spots of foxing. A tear confined to bottom blank margin has been archivally repaired.
