This lovely map was originated by Nicolas Sanson and here reissued by his successor, Alexis-Hubert Jaillot. The map covers the 'boot' of southern Italy in considerable detail and also part of Albania and Greece, including Corfu. The title cartouche features two men taming spirited horses and angels supporting a coat of arms. The four distances scales are also enclosed in a decorative cartouche.

A nice impression on a bright, clean sheet of watermarked paper.
