A handsome map of the Persian empire based on Ortelius' map of the region. The map is centered on Persia, and it also shows present-day Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Indus River. It is filled with scores of place names, details of the Persian Gulf, and graphic detail of the topography and cities. Printed by Johannes Bussemacher. Latin text on verso.
