This large and detailed hemispheric map extends to include New Holland (Australia), New Guinea (still not completely delineated), and some of the South Pacific islands. There are interesting notations throughout Africa, such as the mythical location of the source of the Nile in the twin lakes at the base of the Mountains of the Moon. The routes of numerous explorers are shown, including Cook, Vancouver, and Perouse.

This example has ample margins, an archivally repaired edge tear that just enters the neatline at left, and a few faint spots in the image. There is light soiling, a small chip at the top right corner, and a few short edge tears, all confined to the blank margins.
